Hey Facebook: Suck On This!

Jan 04th 2009

Jules_19 Dear Facebook Owners Idjits,

Please enjoy this beautiful picture of my big, healthy, breastfed son as I discuss with you your eventual demise.  See, Friendster (remember them?) introduced social networking to the world.  What a cool little gizmo that was.  Hipsters all across the land would gather around the vending machines at the dotcoms they worked at to discuss their latest "Friendster" happenings.

Then something happened.  Along came Myspace.   Myspace was explained to me "like Friendster on steriods."  Gosh, how social networking reallllly took off with Myspace. 200-something-million users later, they were bought up by the corporate giants and it seemed that Myspace just might take over the world.

Then Facebook happened.  Oh yes, you really, really happened.  I believe you went from 40 million users to 140 million users in something like a year?  All the sudden I noticed my friends weren't hanging around their Myspace page, and even posting bulletins saying "I'm outta here; the Grown-Ups are on Facebook now."  Wow!  Good for you.

But, before you go getting too big for your britches, you better get smart.  You may not think that one little virtual nurse-in is going to hurt you, the most powerful social networking tool of the day, but think again.  Cyber-Rome has fallen twice already, and you are next.

The "Grown-Ups" are the reason you exploded, and the "Grown-Ups" will find some place better.  Some place where cowards don't blame TOU's for their gross insecurities about seeing a breastfeeding baby.

Find your gonads, Facebook.  TFB out.

I shared via Facebook.. What I think is especially lame is this: the pictures were apparently in private profiles, which means that it was THE FRIENDS of the breastfeeding women who reported their pics as obscene..
