So, last week I guess some of you nominated me for a BlogLuxe award, and I’m here to say thanks. Also?  I’m here to beg you to go vote for me, and keep voting for me, every day, until July 12th.

“But Gina, what’s a BlogLuxe award?”

I dunno, actually, it just sounds really cool. Doesn’t it?  It does.

“Okay, well Gina… what do you win?”

Um.  Nothing, I think?  I guess my prize is just getting to run around telling relatives that I won a BlogLuxe award, while they say “What’s That?” and I say “I dunno but you didn’t win one so go back to your boxed wine and quit raining on my parade, okay?!?  Jeez!”

“Uuuhhh… okay, so somebody nominated you for some non-monetary award on the computer, and you care why?!”

Uuhh, because that was very nice of whoever-that-was and I bet they’d get a kick out of seeing me WIN that award.  Also?  This is a tough gig, this whole blogging thing.  Yes, true, I usually get lots of comments from people telling me that I rock, but I also get lots of comments from people telling me to eat shit, so it’s super, duper cool when people do a little clicking with their mouse to make me feel good about all the silly stuff I type into my ‘puter.

The voting just opened and it turns out that I was nominated in FIVE (yes, you read that right, FIVE) different categories, as follows:

• Funniest (Really?  Okay – thanks!)
• Guilty Pleasure (I’m pretty sure that’s a backhanded compliment, but I’ll take whatever I can get.)
• Most Provocative (I’m not trying to piss people off, I swear, it just turns out I’ve got a knack for it.)

• Most Inspiring (Awww… shucks.  Are you trying to make me cry again?)
