I have two free typing hands right now all thanks to the powers of Craigslist. I found a $130 swing for $25, and the nice woman even threw in her NOJO sling for free! So Jules is content in the swing right now, and in a minute I'm going to get up, get dressed (with TWO hands!!!) and then put him in the sling for a walk around the house. Jonas is with Grandma at the grocery store right now, but before they left he came in and gave his "bay-beee" a kiss. So cute. Last night I managed to give Jonas a bath all by myself with his brother asleep in the baby papasan. Turns out the sound of the running water was like baby Ambien for him. Little by little, I'm figuring out some tricks to survive.
The only problem left is this damn bleeding. I just want it to STOP. It's still bright red, but not heavy enough to warrant a trip to the hospital. BUT, if I overdo it, I could end up in the hospital, and man that would completely SUCK. I'm done with hospitals. If I can just get this worrisome bleeding to go away, and get these icky stitches to heal up, then I feel like things will really start to fall into place.
I want to be totally mobile again!!!!!!!
It sounds like you are settling into a nice little routine. I can only imagine how hard it is–I am not even pregnant yet, and I am already freaking out about how to handle a toddler and a newborn! But honestly, after that battle at the hospital–I bet you can pretty much do anything! LOL
About the bleeding…if I were you, I would call if it kept up. If you feel something is wrong, I would trust your instincts.

1) My dad has *fond* memories of being up with me in the middle of the night. He says that anytime he’d put me into the swing that my parents had, I’d fall asleep, but once it stopped swinging (it was automatic– to a point) I’d start crying again and he would wake from the light sleep he was finally able to catch and he’d automatically turn the swing back on and fall back to sleep.
2) Helpful tidbits to possibly make your bleeding go away:
-Cut out the foods from your diet that contain a good am’t of Iron in them
-Feet up and elevated! Your feet should be elevated “above your heart” (basically your feet should be at a higher elevation than your heart. This does not need to happen 24/7 or anything extreme like that BUT it should happen as often as possible
-Watch out for consumption of anticoagulants. I assume your not suppose to consume these anyways since your breast-feeding, but some people just don’t care and do it anyways. ANY sort of medication/vitamin/etc that will thin the blood (ex: aspirin, vitamin K) should be avoided.
-Also, breastfeeding is suppose to help you stop bleeding earlier in comparison to if you were NOT breastfeeding. Despite this, I think I have previously come across info that says a new mother will be bleeding for up to a month after birth, so your case might not be super extreme or different than other women.
3) Babies like the sound of vacuum cleaners as it tends to soothe them as well as put them to sleep. Supposedly the sound of a vacuum cleaner makes the baby think of their time that they spent being content and comfy in the womb.
4) A woman in the US did some sort of fireman drill around 24 hours after giving birth. The drill was obviously very excruciating, but she really, really wanted to be promoted to a higher position at the firehouse that she worked at… so she went out and did it. (BTW I do not recommend this, of course)
While I do not advertise myself as a medical professional, I still like to share what others have shared with me and so on.

Glad to hear that you are finding tricks to get into the groove of two… I would have commented earlier on your other post, but, I have two kids and didn’t have time to comment until now, several posts later! I find that my best days are the ones when I don’t try to get anything “done.” No laundry, cleaning etc… days spent at the park, or in the backyard, or reading to my older daughter etc… it’s only when I actually try to do stuff that I start to go insane… of course, you eventually do have to do irrelevant things like paying the bills and cleaning clothes… and oh, food, yes, shop and cook or order food… yes, it’s hard, very, very hard.
