By now, we've all heard. Palin is McCain's pick for VP.
Duh, of course he picked a woman. That's how stupid he thinks we all are. As though we didn't care what kind of woman we put in office, as long as there was a vagina involved.
Well, she freaks me out. Actually, she also grosses me out. Here she bragged about going back to work just 3 days after giving birth:
"This was not a mother's typical visit to the office to show off the new baby; instead, she was serving notice that a child of special needs will not hinder her professional commitments."
"I will not shirk my duties," she said.
WOW. So taking more than 72 hours to be with your brand new baby is now considered "shirking" your responsibilities? Her baby cannot be a "hinderance?" What kind of a monster is she?
I thought the Republicans were supposed to be all about family values. I guess if she gets into office then it's only a matter of time before we kiss our (already measly) maternity leave goodbye.
It's digusting the number of people all over the interweb touting her 3 day maternity leave as some sort of "standard" we should all live up to.
God, as if we didn't already have to work hard enough to get some time with our children before having to go back to work.
I wonder if the Canadians, with their YEAR of PAID maternity leave are "impressed" with Palin's actions? They probably think it's an inhuman standard, and so do I.
Well, great. I was already worried enough about the election – and now some gun-toting, anti-choice, anti-maternity leave wacko is possibly a heartbeat away from running the show. Boy will we be in some hot water.

I know Reiza,
And I have this terrible feeling that if she actually was only 3 months, they'd do something sick like induce her a month early to make sure she gives birth in December. That might sound like a National Inquirer story, but I've seen crazy people do much worse, and if they're hiding all this, then they qualify as crazy.
